How To Build Traffic & Money When Blogging

1. Post Title: This is perhaps the single most important feature of every single post you write. You Need A Good Title to atract readers. This very post had a number of different titles, and as I type this I havent selected the final one!

- How To Earn A Living Writing Content

As you can see, each one of these is written to get a user to click through and provide a good basis for search traffic, however you only ever get one chance to make the first impression. As a Typical example I have spent over 30 minutes crafting the final title of this blog to grab your attention – and as your reading his it clearly worked!
2. Fulfil the Promise of your title: The last thing you want is to alienate your blog readers within minutes of finally discovering your blog. This means you must write a good article, spending time crafting the article the needs of your reader, just like I am doing as I write this post right now.
3. Give them options where to go… As I write this article I am looking to improve my blog in a thousand and one ways, from related post plugins to affiliate links which earn me money to adsense revenue which pays the bills. However on this day this blog is not optimised in the slightest – however the key thing is we know there is a problem and research on other blogs I run proove this. We are working to find the best layout to improve this and minimise bounce rate.
Your options should both be internal, and external links – and the external ones should earn you money!
4. Promote your new articles via twitter: You have spent a long time writing a blog post, you have spent even longer writing the title and now you want your mother and brother to read this – the simple thing to do is to pick up the phone and tell them about your great post…. but this wont earn you any more than a few penny’s. However using social networks such as facebook, twitter and myspace you can build up a fanbase and when you make a post – the traffic will come.

its quite easy when brainstroming to find a suitable title for your article.you can use “how to” in the title because most of the user are using the keywords “how to” in their title tag line when searching for something
how to is good for trafic, as you can seI used this technique in this specific blog title – however how to is great for only the specific type of traffic this site is targetting and not to general traffic my network is targetting.
