Building your network

As you grow your affiliate money making online network, you will find there are massive pressures on your time, and sometimes things have to give. Unfortunately recently that was my blogging schedule and for that I apologise, however I think it allows me to bring up the essential skill you should have to allow you to push your online business forwards.

Time Keeping!

Time keeping is key in your business, as it allows you to juggle everything you are doing and realise where time can be saved. Ill give you today as a sample day for me (and this is a light day considering im officially having a week off…)

1. Get up at 9am
2. Finish upgrade on Client A’s site – 4 hours
3. Finish bugfixes on Client B’s Site + phone call – estimated 2 hours
4. Write Day 15 of the Build your Blog Newsletter -> Sign up at the bottom of this post or on the right: 1 hour with proof reading
5. Write This Blog: 1 hour with proof reading
6. Continue upgrade on coupon code site
7. Start writing price comparison site
8. Continue upgrade on web hosting site
9. Keep upto speed with the industry
10. Spend time with my 7 month old son and wife.
11. Do the Mail Run.
12. Create a time management system

AsĀ  Iwrite this its 1:45am the following morning and writing this blog is the last thing on my list apart from writing the time management system – and I think ill put that on the list for tomorrow as my body is starting to give in needing sleep and little man (my baby boy) will most likely try waking me up in just a few short hours – and ill resist till 9 o’clock and we will start again.

Add this to the fact there are always things that crop up during the day, like a couple of bugs on a clients web site, a hack attempt that needed putting right, all of these things take time that can not be scheduled for due the severity of the issues.

One Response to “Building your network”

  1. Although a snapshot of a single day isn’t necessarily indicative of every day, I noticed you didn’t devote any of your day to your sales and recruiting process. Often affiliates get so wrapped up in building and maintaining their sites that they don’t put much time into contacting advertisers and getting the most effective ads placed on their sites. By always making sure that a little bit of that takes place each day, that makes sure your sales pipeline stays fresh so you don’t experience much of a downer once current offers stop converting as well.
