As an SEO I often get asked the question will I hold a training course for x number of people, I always refuse to offer such a course, not because I dont want the money, but because a lot of the information in my head can be got for free on the internet through searching through a LOT of websites.
I mean anyone in internet marketing, knows that 70% of what they know has been found out for free through many painstaking hours of reasearch (1000′s in my case), with the other 20% learned from experience, and 10% is gut instinct. now nobody can teach you the gut instinct or the experience, and where do you get the original 70% knowledge from?

Recently I have been working through a large number of websites, and of course experimenting with all forms of link building – with a variety of success….
Firstly I should add, that I only offer a ethical SEO Link building for websites for all client based work, however as an SEO I use a number of my money making sites to learn about both ethical and certain unethical techniques.
Backlinks.com is one of many websites who offer you the ability to rent links. This is a strictly forbidden process by the search engines for organic results, however paid link sites often say you can not tell the difference between a paid and a genuine link using there scripts. But is this really the truth?
This is a preview of
Backlinks.com – Does renting links it really work?

There are many ways you can build links, and many more than I can mention on this list alone, im sorry I know you would love to read the full information – but rest assured I will be doing an entire course on link building in the future. One thing I can go into is the difference between a NoFollow Link and a DoFollow Link – and its a biggy! If you are looking for search engine rankings, a nofollow link will not pass PageRank (Another term which you will find on my SEO List). However a Dofollow link will help yoursearch engine rankings…
Now onto the techniques….
1. Log onto http://www.learneronlineearner.com and let me know just how much you enjoy the newsletter, make a usefull comment on one of the posts and you get a free DoFollow Link! Also if you add your name as your keyword you will obtain a link with the correct anchor text!
2. Article directory submissions: These are a great way of obtaining links to your website, you can ensure your link is put onto the page in the context which you wish (Excellent link) however you have problems in terms of duplicate content.
3. Directory submissions: Another excellent source of free links for you, simply find the directory, submit the form and move onwards and upwards!
4. Link Rental: If you are short of time, you may choose to go against the guidelines of google and use a link rental service such as
backlinks.com. Here you just pay a set fee (as low as $1 per link) and find the link you want and submit with it. How effective are they – from my experience on a number of test projects they can be quite effective.
