Warning: Character Building Post!

Wow – were on the countdown to being a lean, mean money making machine! You are already have your first blog setup and should have your first blogs live. Today we are going to discuss the one thing that is still stopping you from becoming a success. You!
As part of my daily grind, I have spent a lot of time reading around the web, and there is one (albeit slightly modified) saying which always sticks in my head by Thomas Edison:
Success is 99 perspiration and 1 inspiration
So today I am going to be talking about me, with the help of a few quotations which are all relevent to me. I will discuss some of the tough knockbacks in my life which have given me the determination to work as hard as I do for success, there will be no affiliate links in this article, no attempts to make money but simply a cold and hard look at what makes me tick and an exercise for all of you at the end.
I have not failed, I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.
Throughout my life I was brought up with my two disabled brothers, Dominic and Oliver who both have a terminal disease. However the one thing that I always learned from them, no matter what you did to try and stop them doing something “naughty”, they would always find away around the problem put in there face. One example that sits in my mind is when Dominic, aged about 7 at this point would flick the lightswitch on and off and on and off and on and off until he was either moved away or the lightbulb burnt out – how Edison would have disliked this. At one point we decided to move the light switch further up where he couldnt reach it. This stumped Dom for a couple of weeks till he worked out what to use a chair for – which he proceded to get out of the kitchen whenever Mums back was turned and flick the light on and off and on and off and on and off till the light burnt out. After this there was specialised switches requiring keys, additional switches needed to switch the light on and off and Dom always found a way around them.
This taught me no matter how many times the rules changed, there are always ways around the rules, things you can do to prevent the rules totally affecting you – and persiverance is key!
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
Anyone that knows me will know at the weekend my idea of time off, is to go and work on either my own or a friends car with a view to getting it running again, or alternatively the restoration of one of my projects. It is hard manual labour and I love it. However during the week I am working hard at building up our network of blogs and websites as well as general client SEO work.
If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.
I do not have a story about this, other than I astound myself virtually daily with pieces of software coding, however I still think we should take a minute to read and process that statement.
I owe my success to the fact that I never had a clock in my workroom
This is the most obvious to any entrepreneur, as I write this it is 1:03am and I am looking at being up for another hour and a half to complete my daily tasklist. Whilst this newsletter’s ultimate goal is to provide me money, it has to do this in my hobby time and does not affect the work I do as an SEO. Therefore I work on this at weird hours of the day on this and enjoy it.
Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
How many times have you sat there, thinking is all of this worth it. I have worked a 20 hour day and only earned a few pounds on a number of occasions. There are times you sit there thinking to yourself this is not worth the effort and this is when the majority of people give up. Throughout my life I have had knocks from numerous operations to my feet, hands and also general life knocks – However I have never and will never give up. This is a defining characteristic, one which breeds succes!

As I write this blog, the Learner Online Earner Site is 3 days old, and we have had 10 visitors in total – all direct so they would be word of mouth visitors. Now the one thing you must realise is I already have a plan in place as to what blogs need writing, and have done since the conception of this site, I also have a number of them virtually completed all bar the spit and polish.
